- Latest Trend of Optimization Technology Using AI

- This talk will give a brief review of the previous three generations of optimization technologies, along with their pros and cons. Then it will focus on the 4th generation of optimization technology, AI-driven optimization. With the assistance of AI, optimization deviates from the traditional mathematical framework and brings exciting new features to optimization. Its advantages will enable optimization to be used like a point-and-shoot camera and yet with professional photography quality. Example applications will be given to showcase its capability. Future research and development directions for AI-driven optimization will also be discussed.

- This talk will focus on the advantages of OASIS AI, invented by Empower Operations Corp., as compared to other optimization algorithms. It will also give an introduction to a wide scope of applications of OASIS AI in product design, process optimization, PHM, digital twin, and non-manufacturing scenarios. The typical workflow of using OASIS AI for optimization will be explained along with a design example. The general approach of embedding OASIS AI will be described to show its simplicity. The potential of using OASIS AI in cloud applications will also be discussed.

- Demonstration:Automatic Mesh Control Using OASIS AI

- Fidelity Pointwise is the reliable mesh generation tool for CFD/CAE simulations. Pointwise bottom-up approach meshing can control the mesh to be high quality by the user's operations. However, it might be necessary to manually survey for appropriate settings with the user's experience or/and trial-and-error. This session will demonstrate automatic control for mesh quality improvement with OASIS AI and discuss how it could be integrated with Pointwise and the other tools.
