"VINAS Users Conference 2020" will be held online this year under the theme of "Solutions for Big-data, High-accuracy, High-speed calculation and Optimal design –Design usage of Open source and HPC–."

With start of full-scale operation of "FUGAKU" next year, on-demand service for HPC Super computers at university research institutes, have become widespread, and the choice of simulation calculation environment has expanded. It became easier to carry out high accuracy analysis and optimal design of fundamental research and daily design in industry. With the addition of improvements in optimal design technology, it has enabled to develop products with higher performance in a short period of time than before.

On the other hand, with the widespread use of HPC, data became larger and more complex and therefore it is more difficult to prepare input data and evaluate the analysis results meaningfully. It is challenge to reduce application running costs, file transfer time, and any other cost.

How to deal with such large-scale and complicated analysis data along with future prospects for product optimization and usage of HPC will be presented in this year's keynote and special lectures.

A wide range of cases studies in the fields of aerospace, automobile equipment, turbomachinery, urban environment, medical fields, etc. will be presented by domestic/overseas presenters such as case study of aerodynamic design by Italian sports car maker Dallara which holds world's highest class power-to-weight ratio and downforce capability, example of reduction of operating costs by transport truck shape design with excellent aerodynamic performance, example of highly automated by axial flow turbine blade adaptive mesh generation, application of CFD to the medical field and example of high-precision multiphysical analysis of product design using supercritical fluid, which has recently attracted attention in the development of highly efficient power generators, etc.
